The Platecarpus is an aquatic extinct reptile that existed in the Cretaceous period of the prehistoric era. They grew up to be about 4.3 meters long, with most of that length taken up by their long tails. They probably ate small Cretaceous fish and squid, and the name "Platecarpus" means "flat wrist." They swam in a similar fashion to sharks and were proven to have tail flukes.
