A Perentie is an Australian monitor lizard that can grow up to 2.5 meters long, and might be somewhat venomous. They sometimes stand up on their hind legs to observe their surroundings, and try to prevent themselves from being seen by humans.
Food choices[]
Perenties will either forage for food or wait to catch prey. They will prey on insects, reptiles, birds, bird eggs, small mammals, and carrion.
Intelligence[]
Perenties are unquestionably one of the most intelligent lizards; they may rival some birds and mammals in terms of intelligence. Capable of solving basic probllems such as small mazes, perenties may be on par with (or surpass) lab rats in terms of intellectual abilities.
