Phelsuma barbouri

The Barbour's day gecko is a diurnal kind of gecko that can grow up to be 13.5 centimeters long. They can be found in central Madagascar in the Ankaratra Mountains, thriving on rocks, stones, or on the ground. Their body color is dark at night and in the morning, but when basking, it becomes light. They try to get as much sun as possible when basking.

Barbour's day geckoes eat insects and other small invertibrae.

Reproduction[]

The females lay eggs under stones, and different females may lay their eggs in the same area, so it is possible to find 50 of these eggs together. Babies will hatch in 55 days.
