The Bengal monitor is a South Asian monitor lizard and can grow up to be 175 centimeters long.

Reproduction[]

The breeding season is in June to September. Females lay about 20 eggs into a self-dug nest hole in level ground or on a vertical bank. In 168-254 days, the eggs hatch.

Diet[]

Bengal monitor lizards eats roosting bats, beetles, grubs, orthopterans, scorpions, snails, ants, other invertibrates, and sometimes dead animals.
