Are dinosaurs related to reptiles
The answer is yes, dinosaurs are ancestors of reptiles. That includes their descendants, being crocodiles, iguanas and monitor lizards.
War... Lost...
I am greatly saddened to announce that we have lost the Reptile Wiki War. I want to thank all the Users who got us 127 pages... The original Wiki has an astounding 661 pages which they have managed to do within 10 days. Amazing work, and hats down to them.
The best Wiki won. I am resigning from my position of Head of the Department of Administrators as I was unable to make the Wiki win... Titanollante may take up my position. Good day.
Mammals Wiki
As you are aware cobra is leaving soon so that means I will be left alone on the Mammals Wiki So I need people to edit and help us expand.
- I will be needing 1 more admins
- 1 will become a bur

Wikia retirement
When this wiki gets 200 pages, I will put a spotlight request for it on the community central spotlight page. Then, I will stay here to see if it is on the spotlight. When it is, I am sad to say that I will be retiring from wikia. That means I won't be active here... ever again. I am just finished messing around here. Well, that's all I have to say,
-Komodo cobra
Spotlight requirements
We can't just have 200 pages or more to get the spotlight. This wiki needs to fit all the requirements for it, too. To see the requirements, click here and scroll down to "Best practices."
This wiki
I was just thinking about how this wiki has improved, it has:
- more pages, no stubs anymore!
- a cool favicon
- a suitable background
- an interesting wordmark
- a nice media-wiki navigation message on the recent changes page
- an organized category thing at the top of the page (the thing that has the "popular pages" label and other labels. I don't know the name of it)
- even a desirable main page!
Wouldn't you all agree to all of this? I am giving credit for all these wonderful improvemets to:
- MontagnaMagica (the category thing at the top of the page)
- JoePlay (the favicon and background)
- Nobody Cares (that person uploaded the wordmark, and I put it there)
- TheBen10Mazter (that person reminded me what pages are stubs so that I could "flesh them out")
- Quick Fire (I c…
Infoboxes
When I first began my editing here at Wikia, I was unaware of the usefulness of a built in feature called an Infobox. You see it on thousands of wikis, and I believe it is one of the most vital features of a wiki. See Monitor Lizard for an example of a well-organized page that includes an infobox. Looks nice, doen't it?
But before we all start wildly adding these boxes to every page, I suggest coming up with a sample page for certain types of reptiles such as Lizards, Dinosaurs, Snakes, Turtles, et cætera...
What do you all think?
Me
This is a wiki about reptiles, so I am going to put the master of reptiles on this blog post. What is it, you may ask? Well, it is the only living member of its species, Komodo cobra! I look like a Komodo Dragon, but have the "hood" of a King Cobra. The lower half of my body (my hips, back legs, tail) is a long, King Cobra tail, so I only have front legs, not back, but can still move around quickly. From the tip of my snout to the tip of my tail, I am 50 meters long, and I can breathe in air, water, and outer space. Since I have the head of a Komodo dragon, my bite is venomous.

I edited the mesage on the recent changes page. Please tell me how you like it in your comments...
Happy 100 Pages!
Happy 100 Pages everyone! Only 100 more and we can be on the Wikia Spotlight thingy.
So close to the spotlight tryout!
We've almost got 100 pages on this wiki, and when we do, we just need 100 more, and then we can try out for the Wikia spotlight!!!!! Keep up the good work, members of Reptiles Wiki!
Dinosaurs!
Out of ALL the dinosaurs, what are your Top 5? There hundreds of different dinosaurs, why not search for them here? However, you cannot choose dinosaurs that are really alike, for example: Mosasaurus, and Mosasaurus Maximum. You are free to choose!
I'm the king of the Dinosaurs! I'll eat you before you even know I'm there. 15:58, July 11, 2011 (UTC)
Admins everywhere!
There are many admins here, and right now they take up most of the space of users, but if this wiki gets the spotlight, there will be many users here hopefully.
More administrators!
Titanollante is now an admin! They will try to be here every day and will upload a picture to this wiki every day they are here!
Wiki background
Reptile Wiki's background is good the way it is right now. Please keep it that way, OK everybody?
Third admin!
Arceus The God of Pokemon has joined Reptiles Wiki, and is now an administrator (YAY, MORE ADMINISTRATORS!)!
Raising the number of Editors
I've come up with an interesting plan to increase the number of Users on this Wiki. How about we create an official page for Reptilepedia on Facebook, Twitter and Orkut (or MySpace)? I'll do Facebook, Ben10Mazter can do Orkut or Myspace and Komodo can work on Twitter. We'll get 100s of editors in no time!
The Administration of the Wiki
As an administrator of the Wiki, I am speaking for Komodo Cobra, the Creator and Bureaucrat of the Wiki. I am talking about his Team of Administrators. My advice is that we have 2 Bureaucrats (Komodo and TheBen10Mazter) and 3 Admins (Me, quickfire, and Komodo) until we reach... say... 500 articles or so. Currently as admin, there is no work to be done within the Wiki (mainly because there are only 3 active Users, all of them who are Sysops and there is no vandal threat, no vandalism or rubbish article).
So the big question is: Who will become the fourth administrator??
Spotlight
If this wiki got at least 200 pages, do you think it would qualify for the wikia spotlight?
Request for adminship
This wiki is brand new, so it needs more administrators and users. I'm trying to form a little group of administrators, so if you would like to accept this request, please contact me on my talk page.
A new admin
A new user called TheBen10Mazter has joined the wiki, and is now an admin and bureaucrat.
